To heat an industrial hall in Berghem, we installed two ceiling-mounted air conditioners. For this project, we deliberately chose two Hyper Inverter single split installations. This choice ensures a reliable and energy-efficient way of heating, especially suitable for large production halls.

An air-conditioning system regularly goes into defrost. During this process, the outdoor unit stops working briefly to defrost in order to maintain optimum efficiency. Because we choose two separate single split systems here, there is little chance of both systems going into defrost at the same time. As a result, at least fifty per cent of the total heating capacity always remains available. This ensures a stable and comfortable indoor climate, even on cold days.

Heating with air conditioning is in many cases up to 50 per cent more economical than heating with gas. This system has a SCOP of 4.3. This means that every kilowatt of electrical energy delivers 4300 watts of heat converted. In comparison, about 9.7 kW of heat is normally obtained from one cubic metre of gas. So with just 2 kW of electricity, this plant delivers as much heat as 1 m³ of gas. Companies can thus easily calculate what they save based on their current gas consumption.

A key advantage of Hyper Inverter technology is that heating capacity is maintained at outdoor temperatures down to -10 degrees. Thus, efficiency remains high even during periods of frost. In addition, a special ceiling fan (Novilator) was installed in this industrial hall. This pushes down the warm air that rises, increasing comfort and preventing unnecessary energy consumption. The Novilator is adjustable in various positions, allowing the user to determine the noise level and air flow.

Besides efficient heating, this system also offers the option of powerful cooling in summer. Thus, the industrial hall in Berghem has a comfortable and energy-efficient climate system all year round.
