Setting Wi-Fi control
Wifi control makes using the air conditioner even easier. Thanks to the wifi module, you can control installation wherever internet is available. So even when you are not at home. You only need to create an account in the FREE app.
Daikin & Mitsubishi each have their own app with its own manual.
Advantages of Wi-Fi operation:

Important:
What you need to know
Wi-Fi link:
We supply your air conditioner with a wifi module. This wifi module cannot actually be faulty. Problems with wifi links occur due to a faulty wifi network or not following the manual.
Your Wi-Fi signal:
Every internet supplier works with a different Wi-Fi system. In addition, we see many customers building their own Wifi network.
There are two possible Wi-Fi networks 2.4 GHz and 5.0 GHz. Connecting air conditioner(s) to a 5.0 GHz network is impossible.
Use the app Wifiman to see what frequency your network is set to.
Amplifiers & repeaters:
When a Wi-Fi signal is not stable, the connection to the A/C will drop. When the connection to the A/C drops, it has to be re-established manually. Amplifiers and repeaters often do not improve signal quality. The air conditioner should be connected to a wifi network with a fixed IP address.
WPS and SSID:
There are two ways to pair to Wi-Fi: WPS or SSID. The WPS function lets you pair automatically and the SSID manually. We always recommend choosing manual (SSID) to avoid problems.
Aircobrabant & you Wifi:
Aircobrabant supplies you with the air conditioner with the built-in Wifi module. We can help you by providing the right manuals. Unfortunately, we cannot help you adjust your Wifi network. Only the internet supplier or the builder of your Wifi network can do that.
Daikin Wifi
Daikin works with the Onnecta app to control their equipment remotely. When you install the app on your phone it is going to tell you step by step what you need to do to connect the air conditioner to your network. Don't skip any steps and allow everything when the app asks for "allow" do so. The keys and password come with each indoor unit. Keep these safe.
In practice, pairing only goes wrong if there is no 2.4 GHz network. Your phone must also be paired to 2.4 GHz.
Be sure your device is also connected to the right network. Before you start, delete all wifi networks from your phone and reconnect. So also reenter your password. Switching ON/OFF is not enough.

Mitsubishi Wifi
Mitsubishi Heavy Industries works with the M-air app to control their equipment remotely.
Below is the manual for installing the M-air app. Note: there is a manual for models with built-in wifi and a manual for the separate wifi module. If you have a built-in wifi module, the model is denoted WF.
Example: SRK 25 WFÂ (The F indicates there is a built-in wifi module in the indoor unit)
Do not skip steps in the manual mover and allow everything when the app asks for "allow" do so. The keys and password are supplied with each indoor unit. Keep these well.
Note: When a separate wifi module is installed in an existing air conditioner, it must always be put into connection mode via the button on the wifi module. This cannot be done with the remote control in this case. The loose module is always placed behind the cap on the right under the front panel where the filters are. (loosen the screw).
Installation assistance
Aircobrabant does not come on site to solve problems with your wifi network. Not because we don't want to, but because we can't. Only your internet supplier can do this.
Our mechanics have made an overview of common questions with the corresponding solution. If your question is not listed, please send an e-mail to info@aircobrabant.nl.
Question | reply |
---|---|
My air conditioner is not found by the app? | Make sure your network is a 2.4GHz network |
How can I tell if I have a 2.4 GHz network? | Download the wifiman app on your phone |
Where can I find my SSID and KEY (password)? | These are supplied with the installation and are on the inside of the air conditioner |
How do I check if my wifi signal is strong enough? | Hold your mobile phone near the air conditioner and check the number of wifi dashes (at least 2) |
Air conditioning does not come into the app. What is going on? | Your device is not on the right wifi network |
Should I "allow" everything in the app? | You should always "allow" everything if the app asks for it |
Why is the app slow to respond to commands? | It is an internet-based operation. This is not always fast. |
Why is my app crashing? | You send too many commands in a row. Maximum 3 per minute |
Can others also operate the air conditioner (Daikin)? | Invite them from the Onnecta app |
Can others also operate the air conditioning (Mitsubishi)? | Share your login details |
I have a separate wifi module on an existing one. I cannot get this one into connection mode | Press the button on the wifi module to put it into connection mode. This cannot be done with the remote control |
I have a separate wifi module. Where can I find it | Right under the front panel near the filters (loosen screw) |
HOTSPOT TEST
99% of the problems are in the wifi network. If the manual has been carefully followed and "question and answer" doesn't get you anywhere either do the HOTSPOT test.
For this, you need two mobile phones, both of which have a SIM card with internet connection. Turn one phone into a mobile HOTSPOT and use this network to connect your air conditioner(s).
Note: After the hotspot test, you need to reset the wifi module completelyÂ
5 steps for setting up a Wi-Fi network using a mobile HOTSPOT.
- Provide 2 mobile phones with internet and latest software updat
- Install the app on 1 device
- Turn on the mobile hotspot on the other device
- Remove all wifi networks from your phone and connect only to the mopial hotspot
- Use the hotspot's Wi-Fi network to connect the air conditioner(s)
If this link is successful, the problem is in the home network. An IT technician should fix this. Your internet supplier can also remotely change the network to 2.4GHz.
